Single Visit Dentistry

March 30, 2018
By William H. Harrison, DDS
Park Dental Como Avenue

Never has there been a more exciting time in dentistry for the patient experience than now. Single visit dentistry is here.

What is single visit dentistry you ask? Select Park Dental practices are using advanced digital mapping software and hardware to make your dental visits as easy as possible. Biocompatible, metal-free crowns and tooth-colored porcelain fillings, called inlays and onlays, can be made and placed in one day. Traditional impressions or molds of your mouth, which can be uncomfortable or cumbersome, are quickly becoming a thing of the past.

The state-of-the-art equipment, called CEREC Omnicam, utilizes a 3D LED camera to take live pictures and develops a virtual model of your mouth directly on the computer. This data is transferred to an in-office milling chamber that fabricates your crown in only a few minutes. These milling chambers are stocked with the latest, strongest and most beautiful materials. No need to wait two to three weeks and deal with a temporary crown.

This technology is available now at Park Dental Como Avenue, Park Dental Eden Prairie, Park Dental Riverdale, and expanding to many more of our practices soon. Patient feedback has been phenomenal. Discover the difference of single visit dentistry – schedule your appointment today.

Why do some doctors not have a star rating or comments?

In order to provide our patients with the most accurate and beneficial information, we only post star ratings and comments for a doctor once they have received a minimum of 30 surveys within the previous 12 months.
