Park Dental’s Dental Sleep Program

Park Dental Marquette Minneapolis Dentist Joseph Rinaldi
By Joseph F. Rinaldi III, DDS
Park Dental LaSalle Plaza

Park Dental is dedicated to the patient’s overall health. That is why we have partnered with sleep physicians across the metro area to identify and treat patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Park Dental’s Dental Sleep Program is one-of-a-kind. We work collaboratively with physicians to reduce barriers to care and improve the health of our community.

It is estimated that nearly ten percent of the United States population has OSA, yet 80 percent of the population are undiagnosed. This is important because untreated OSA can lead to an increased risk for heart disease, stroke, depression, and motor vehicle accidents. Obesity is a risk factor for the disease, and patients with atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, and diabetes all carry a high risk for OSA. As you can see, Park Dental’s Dental Sleep Program has an opportunity to play a life-saving role in identifying and treating these patients.

There are over 15 dentists within Park Dental that have undergone extensive continuing education and training, and are pursuing board certification in the area of sleep medicine. Every Park Dental practice participates in our screening program, employing a simple questionnaire to identify high-risk individuals.

If you, or someone you know, suffers from poor sleep, or if snoring is interrupting someone’s quality of sleep, ask your Park Dental doctor how we can help!

Why do some doctors not have a star rating or comments?

In order to provide our patients with the most accurate and beneficial information, we only post star ratings and comments for a doctor once they have received a minimum of 30 surveys within the previous 12 months.
