Get to Know Dr. Christopher Browning

This week in our “Get to Know the Park Dental Doctors” feature we’re profiling Dr. Christopher Browning from our Grand Avenue practice. In his profile, Dr. Browning shares his treatment philosophy, what he enjoys about being a dentist, as well as some fun facts about his personal life. What made you choose dentistry?

I love to work with my hands and I love science! My childhood dentist was a woman that took children’s dentistry to a level that made it akin to visiting Disneyland! I wanted to go every week. 

What do you love most about being a dentist or what do you find the most rewarding? 

I love getting anxious people to like coming to see me. I love to get people looking better and feeling better and out of pain comfortably.   

What’s your care/treatment philosophy? 

Find out what makes my patients happy and deliver it. I always want my patients to know I care about them and that I am honored to have the privilege of providing their care. 

Is there a particular area of dentistry you enjoy the most or like to focus on? 

Implants, root canals and oral surgery. 

When did you start or how many years have you been with Park Dental? 

20 years! 

What is one thing you love most about Park Dental? 

The effort Park Dental makes to ensure our doctors are the best in dentistry. The collaborative environment. The people in the organization  

What do you enjoy most about being part of a group practice? 

Having diverse colleagues with diverse knowledge and interests.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? 

Professional surfer.

What was your very first job?

Public Library Page.

What do you like to do on your days off?

Paint.

What’s your favorite food or drink? 

Pizza.

Who is your hero or who inspires you? 

Anthony Bourdain.

What is an interesting fact that people may not know about you? 

I did stand up comedy.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? 

The Pantanal.

What’s your favorite movie? 

“2001 A Space Odyssey”

What’s your favorite genre of music to listen to? 

Indie Rock.

What are your hobbies? 

Painting, competitive swimming, and motorcycles.

What’s your favorite holiday?

The 4th of July.

Do you speak any other languages? 

Spanish.

Are you scared of or have a fear of anything? 

Bears and sharks but especially Bear-sharks. Are those a thing? 

What’s your favorite thing about living in Minnesota? 

The parks and fall season.

Do you have any hidden talents? 

Sing and play guitar.

Fall.

Black.

What’s your favorite animal? 

Fennec Fox.
