One of my favorite aspects of dentistry is getting to know my patients and their families and building trusting relationships. I’m passionate about providing individualized and preventive care that best serves my patients and community.

Outside of dentistry, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. My husband Henry and I live in Minneapolis with our spunky cat named Ralph. In my free time I like to be outdoors near the chain of lakes, play tennis, bake, and visit new places.

The dentist I saw, Anna, really surprised me as I've been going to Park Dental since my childhood. She is the first dentist I have met who did not seem to care and brushed off my questions. She ultimately said "up to you" with no further feedback other than asking if "I had any other questions." She was cold and I didn't feel welcome enough to ask anything more so I let her leave. She saw me for maybe a total of 4 minutes.

Her explanations can come off sounding a little course and uncaring. I want to choose a different dentist but am afraid that if I switch my appointment I previously made, I will have to wait so long and will not get my 2 cleanings in this year.

The dentist spent very little time talking to me. The appointment very brief, especially for a new patient visit. She made no effort to get to know me and asked no questions about my dental history. However, it was understandable that the visit was short as no treatment was needed.

I had a cavity on a tooth that had a minor crack. She explained since I had a couple of other teeth pulled on that side that at this time she recommended a crown, but I did have the choice to just fill it. I agreed with her since that tooth is being used more than normal due to the lack of upper teeth on my left side.

I brought up my concern about receding gum line and the pain I'm experiencing. She said to just continue to brush lightly and use sensitive toothpaste which I've been doing for years. So not sure if that just it there isn't anything that can be done.

What a great visit. I had not seen a dentist in over 20 years and was very upfront about that with all involved in my care. I didn't ever feel like I was being judged for my lack of dental care for such a long period of time. Everyone listened to my concerns and treated me like a long time patient! I came in with a broken tooth. Had it for a week and had done nothing about it. The 4th holidays. Was told ahead of time this was to be an exploratory. No procedures until decisions were made. I was grateful for the quickly arranged appointment and understood but was worried and discouraged before I came in. I was afraid of the future tooth removal, appointments, expensive replacements, etc. Instead I was given different options. One of which was root canal surgery and actually attempting to SAVE my beautiful tooth. RIGHT NOW. Zowie. 86 year old teeth. Saved? I couldn't believe it. And this team was so careful. They talked to me and to each other the whole time. Working thorough each question and problem, analyzing as they went. All quite fascinating.
