Professional Statement

I care for patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and am currently working toward Diplomat status with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, a certification for dentists who treat OSA with oral appliance therapy. I also collaborate with sleep physicians to identify the best treatment for each patient.

Personal

I enjoy both the challenges and many rewards that come with practicing general dentistry. Within the practice I have a special interest in oral surgery and aesthetic composites. Outside the office, I enjoy bicycling, live music, walking my dog and spending time with family and friends.

I was very nervous during the procedure and she did what she could to make it easier for me. She was describing what she was doing and kept reminding me to breathe through my nose which helped me get thru it. She was very patient when I would need a moment before continuing the procedure. She kept making sure I was okay.

The dentist had what I would consider poor chairside manner. After the tooth had been worked on I expressed I felt the tooth had a high spot. This seemed to be an inconvenience for her. I feel her objective was to get me out of the chair as fast as possible. I feel my tooth is still high and I also have some excess material on the front of the tooth. I have not had a dentist with this lack of regard for my feedback. It may be time to find a new dental firm.

My daughter, is concerned about some bright white stains on her teeth and is interested in trying to even out her tooth color. The dentist was awesome about listening to her and then explaining several options to me. I had multiple questions and she took the time to answer all of them thoroughly. Dr. Ledman was very professional and helpful. I had an infected molar that needed an emergent root canal. She was able to fit me in to get temporary relief, and then finish the project. I think she used excellent judgement in how much to do, and I am very appreciative of her help. It was not an easy procedure, but she was quite pleasant and competent. I am very glad she took care of me. The dental assistant was likewise professional and helpful. It couldn't have been a better experience for something that was very painful for me.

My Dr. is fine I like her but I consistently have long wait time in the lobby before my appointment and then wait again after the Hygienist is done for the Dr. to see me. I have a feeling she only came in when she did because I finally said something to the Hygienist who had said thanks for your patience for the 4th or 5th time.
