Attention Patients: Coronavirus Update

March 23, 2020

Due to COVID-19, Park Dental Has Suspended All Non-emergency and Elective Services Through April 13

The health and well-being of our patients, doctors, team members and the communities that we serve is our top priority. In accordance with the Minnesota Governor’s Executive Order and guidance from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Minnesota Board of Dentistry, Minnesota Dental Association (MDA), Wisconsin Dental Association (WDA) and American Dental Association (ADA), Park Dental has suspended all non-emergency and elective dental services through April 13.  This will help reduce the potential for exposure at our clinics and help keep our patients, team members and community healthy. It also allows critical resources to flow to those most in need and supports those that are on the forefront of this outbreak.

We are committed to our patients and remain open for dental emergencies.

If you are an existing Park Dental patient and you are experiencing a dental emergency, please contact your regular Park Dental practice. Our phones are being answered and team members are available to answer your questions and provide instructions for receiving emergency treatment.

Some examples of a dental emergency include:

  • Trauma such as a dental fracture
  • Oral infection
  • Excessive swelling of your gums, face, or neck
  • Severe tooth pain
  • Bleeding in your mouth that won’t stop

For your safety and the safety of health care providers, please call your regular Park Dental practice and do not visit an urgent care clinic or an emergency room for your dental care needs.

If you have an upcoming appointment, a team member will be reaching out to reschedule. Again, if you have questions, please feel free to call your regular Park Dental practice. Our phones remain open and a team member will be happy to assist you and answer any questions.

We will continue to monitor this evolving situation and will follow guidance from our elected leaders, local health departments, ADA, MDA, WDA and CDC.  As new information is made available, we will be deciding week-to-week when we will reopen for regular business.  Please refer to our website for the latest information.

We thank all of our patients, doctors, and team members for their patience and understanding during these uncertain times. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Your oral health is extremely important to us and we look forward to the opportunity to care for you again in the near future.

For additional information about COVID-19, get the latest reports from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Minnesota Department of Health or Wisconsin Department of Health Services website.

Effective Immediately: Park Dental Has Closed All Practices

The COVID-19 Pandemic has evolved significantly over the weekend and, out of an abundance of caution, the difficult decision has been made to close all Park Dental practices effective immediately for a period of one week – March 16-21, 2020 – pending further information.

We are closing our practices this week with the best interest of the health of our patients, doctors, team members and the communities that we serve. We have been consulting with several large health systems and several leading dental groups, locally and nationally, all of which plan to close their practices or already have. As the situation evolves we will be deciding week-to-week when we will reopen for regular business. Please refer to our website for updates.

If you have an appointment this week, a team member will be reaching out to you. If you have questions or a dental emergency, please feel free to call your regular Park Dental practice. Our phones will remain staffed throughout the week. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

To ensure the safety of our patients, doctors and team members during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, we are taking extra precautions to ensure we maintain a healthy and safe environment in our practices.

If you have an upcoming appointment and are currently experiencing flu-like symptoms, which may include a fever, please contact your regular Park Dental Practice and we will assist you in rescheduling your appointment.

If you have traveled outside of the US within the past 14 days to a country with high levels of Coronavirus cases we ask that you call your regular Park Dental Practice to reschedule your appointment. A list of countries with widespread COVID-19 outbreaks (designated as Risk Assessment Level 2 or 3) can be found on the Centers for Disease Control website. Your appointment will need to be rescheduled a minimum of 14 days after the date you arrived home from your trip.  This also applies to any travel on a cruise ship.

This situation continues to evolve quickly, and we are monitoring it closely. Based on current guidance and our own standards and practices, all our practices remain open and are committed to providing excellent patient care.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. We will continue to provide up to date information on our website as the situation changes so please check back.

Why do some doctors not have a star rating or comments?

In order to provide our patients with the most accurate and beneficial information, we only post star ratings and comments for a doctor once they have received a minimum of 30 surveys within the previous 12 months.
