Like most dentists I have used, Dr Hulse explained my dental issues well to his assistant...but I would like a dentist to " tap" each tooth they are talking about and explain In simple terms to me what the issue is for me with that tooth.... I was hoping that I would have receive a " common persons " explanation...would have been very helpful. Otherwise Dr. Hulse and his assistant were very helpful In explaining the need for repair and the cost

I told the dentist that my teeth are getting Increasingly more sensitive (even though I'm young) and I'm concerned because It's painful. The response I got was pretty much "well use Sensodyne but it's not 100% effective and that's a bummer. So just keep using Sensodyne and a lot of adults deal with sensitive teeth." It was so unhelpful. It was basically felt like a shrug and a "I don't know, good luck dealing with that." Why ask me if I have any concerns if you're not going to even try addressing them? Doesn't really inspire confidence in how you'd handle bigger situations

From the dental exam standpoint, all was fine. I switched to this office 1.5 years ago, so 3 visits ago and I don't think this dentist knows anything about me. That's likely not a need for everyone, but it would help me build more trust in the event I needed work done.

I'm sure he is a capable doctor, but I was quite offended that he called me "girl" during my visit. I am a 37 year old professional woman with a doctorate and 2 children and using such language is sexist - whether he knows that or not. Using "girl" for a grown adult is indicative of a world view that I find not only outdated, but offensive.
