Preventive Dental Care
Preventive dental care is the foundation of good oral health — for infants, children, adults, and seniors.
- For Infants: Once your baby’s first teeth appear and prior to their first birthday, we offer an infant oral examination that assesses the health of your baby’s mouth and helps you develop a daily program of good oral hygiene. It’s important to begin preventing cavities and gum disease at a young age.
- For Children: Children’s teeth need regular dental cleaning and examination. We typically recommend that children visit their dentist every 6 months. Your Dentist may also recommend fluoride treatments and sealants as preventive measures.
- For Adults and Seniors: We want you to smile — frequently! Regular dental cleaning and examination is important to the health of your teeth and gums, and to your overall health. Your dentist will recommend the appropriate frequency of visits based on your needs. Most patients visit their dentist twice a year.
