I conducted research at the University of Texas Dental School for 6 years in many areas including evaluation of bruxism utilizing scanning electron and confocal microscopy.

I care for patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) who are candidates for Non-CPAP treatment. I am a Diplomat with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, a certification for dentists who treat OSA with oral appliance therapy. I also collaborate with sleep physicians to identify the best treatment for each patient.

Personal

Born and raised in Texas with family from the Twin Cities and rural Minnesota.  I am an avid sailor/windsurfer and world traveler who loves taking photos.  I have taught at multiple dental, hygiene, and assisting schools.  I have practiced in private, public health, and the U.S. Army.

I was in pain and there was no empathy or sugestions about addressing the pain. I was told to contact another clinic as there was no issue with my teeth. It was a statement by the dentist not a consultation. I will not see him ever again.

I am a regular patient of Dr, Maschiopinto. Since she retired, I had to schedule with another dentist. Dr. Lindner seemed rushed and was in and out of the room like a flash. I don't think he read my chart or previous x-rays because he didn't say a word about a cavity that Is in one of my wisdom teeth. He was going to leave the room when I asked him about It which made him pause before exiting. Being a new patient (to him anyway), I would have thought he would have at least given my previous appointment a look to know what was going on with my dental concerns and/or followed up on that cavity as well as the removal of my wisdom teeth.

Again, just like the hygienist, it was as if our appointment was an annoyance in their day. He came in and made a few attempts at reaching into my son's mouth with his gloved hands (something he's never had done before, so of course he resisted), and then called it quits. When we go to the pediatrician, they take time to get to know the child, get them used to the new person, try to make a connection before just "doing things to them". It felt like the staff either just doesn't see kids his age often, or else that they really just didn't want to see us. I had been advised by my own dentist (at another Park Dental location) to bring my son in for a checkup over the last year, and finally made the appointment, and now feel stupid for doing so. Yes, he got to see the clinic and didn't have a traumatic experience, but I felt like a lot more could have been done to make it engaging for him. Really disappointed and will not be bringing my son back to this practice, at least until he is much, much older. We will be looking for a true pediatric dental clinic for his next visit.

I really appreciate Dr Lindner. He has a good nature and is very attentive during the visit. I gave him a good because sometimes it's just in and out, maybe due to schedule but seems like could do more talking on prevention or pushing for, hey, you would benefit from x because of xyz. Because he has made a suggestion but doesn't follow up with it or push for it with they why, I don't typically follow through with some things I probably should do.

Dentist showed no sympathy. I went in because I was in pain and I left in pain. It felt the dentist brushed me off and didn't even bother to help. Seemed like the dentist was mad that I asked him to be gentle since my tooth hurt so bad and I was scared.

The hygienist & Dr. Lindbergh were fantastic. She used an ultrasonic kit on my teeth because of tough staining & Ive never had my teeth feel so clean. I have sensitive teeth so this was great. Dr. Lindner is really relaxed and kind.

I have seen all three dentists at one time or another, and have been treated well by all. I have also been treated by many hygienists and they all treat me well. There is great commonality and consistency applied by hygienists. I find that to be a good thing.

Dr Lindner (sp?) has great dental skills and great bedside manner but feels like he's quick to diagnose and skips over explanations once he's diagnosed. I've had my first crown and first root canal in the last 12-18 mos. Once I was diagnosed, it seemed like his mind had moved on to the next patient. I had to ask what happens when I get a crown. I had to ask what happens when I get a root canal. I'm sure it seems like old hat to him but to those of us that have never had one, it creates anxious anticipation. He was good to answer questions but I shouldn't have to ask "what happens in a root canal." He was good to explain the day of the actual appt's, but getting as much info upfront (when diagnosed) would ease anticipation.

Dr. Linder is a kind person and we shared a pleasant greeting upon his arrival. When I told him that I thought I had a cavity because I have a very specific place on the top of one of my bottom teeth that is super sensitive to hot and cold temperatures, it felt like he "poo-pooed" my concerns and said there are no cavities and actually the pain I feel on top of my tooth is from the side, not the top. Then the hygienist laughed and reminded me of my gum decay. FYI: I've had gum decay for 10-15 years and if you check my records, you'll see that I have consistently had healthy gums for a long time now. I would rather that he asked questions to find out more than give me answers (he offered a crown) and dismissing my tooth pain.

The dental hygienist was AMAZING, very kind, explained all of the things she was doing and was very interested in making sure I was comfortable. I would absolutely recommend her.
