I appreciate the variety that the field of dentistry offers, and have developed a special interest in the surgical aspects of care, including wisdom tooth removal and implant therapy. I also enjoy providing dental care on missions trips to Spanish-speaking nations.

I care for patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and am currently working toward Diplomat status with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, a certification for dentists who treat OSA with oral appliance therapy. I also collaborate with sleep physicians to identify the best treatment for each patient.

Personal

I enjoy rock climbing, basketball, and a wide array of music. My wife is also a dentist and when we are not discussing dentistry, we love to travel and care for our four sons.

I have never had such a pleasant experience at the dentist. I was having one of the worst days, in pain and felt embarrassed that my tooth fell out. The dentist was so thoughtful and careful in his explanation and his compassion changed my whole mindset about dental care.

I was worried about pain involved with getting crowns and I was given a full set of options for pain control. when my insurance company denied coverage for a procedure he wrote them a letter and submitted photos to try and get coverage for me. The doctor didn't say anything negative because it had been awhile since I had seen a dentist. overall very pleased with my treatment.
