I have been at Park Dental since 1983. I enjoy the diversity of general dentistry, and I particularly appreciate the collaborative dynamics of a group practice. Away from the office, I enjoy family activities – traveling, golfing and cross country skiing – with my wife and three children. I look forward to watching the kids participate in their various activities (i.e. dance, choir, basketball, etc.). When the time allows, I also like to work on minor construction and woodworking projects around the house.

After the filling he said the cavity was deeper than expected. He put some extra medicine in the drilled hole before filling it. Said it may hurt some afterward, but if so it should go away in a few days. If it gets worse I should contact him. As it turned out, there was absolutely zero pain after. I was OK with that!!

Dr Marvin was my childhood dentist. For awhile I due to geography I had seen another dentist. Recently, I we moved north of the twin cities and I found that I needed a dentist. I had a lot of confidence in his abilities and relationship as a child and felt I could trust him and wanted to go back to that practice to be seen by Dr Marvin. I'm glad I did.

At the conclusion of the dental procedure Dr. Marvin just walked out of the room. When I had expressed concern for the cost of dental procedures, particularly in regard to options available to replace an obvious missing tooth, there was limited information offered regarding the least expensive alternative.

Please note: these responses reflect my most recent visit, which was for a six-month cleaning, check up and x-rays. My rating for the dental implant would have been the same, except for the question about explanation of options. Dr. Marvin and I have talked about the length of the treatment and its expense, and how that exceeded his estimates. I fleet he listened veery respectfully to my comments, and is likely to incorporate some of my suggestions (about indicating possible lengths and expenses that are beyond average) with future patients. BTW-I don't find that kind of careful respectful listening the norm in today's medical sphere, and I am very appreciative of it.
