    Give Kids a Smile® Day

    Dr. Kirsten Langguth volunteered her time along with other Park Dental doctors and team members at the annual Minnesota Dental Association’s Give Kids A Smile Day in February. Dr. Langguth comments that “Give Kids A Smile Day is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community targeting a group of people who most need the care, children. It is amazing to see their gratitude and appreciation for even such a small thing as a tooth brush or a tooth that hurt that did not hurt anymore." It was satisfying to see so many beautiful smiles.

    National Sports Center Partnership

    Doctors and Team Members from Park Dental Blaine, Park Dental Coon Rapids and Park Dental Edinbrook interact with parents and children as they enroll in hockey programs at the National Sports Center in Blaine. The Doctors and Team Members educate children and parents about “What You Should Look For In a Good Mouth Guard”; and “When Should I Wear My Mouth Guard?” Each child participating was presented a savings certificate for a custom fit Mouth Guard.

    Boy Scouts Dentistry Merit Badge

    Dr. Lee Lutterman volunteers time with the local Boy Scouts troup to assist them in earning their dentistry merit badge. In the photo, Dr. Lutterman informs members of the Cobra Patrol about the different types of dental filing materials used to restore a tooth that has either been broken or has had tooth decay.

    Dr. Lutterman also teaches the scouts how to make athletic mouth guards to protect their teeth from sports related injuries. Some scouts have expressed interest in becoming future dentists. They even had the opportunity to practice on a plastic model.
